SET announces listed companies which delay disclosure of quarterly financial statements ended 30 September 2011 According to the rules imposed by the Stock Exchange of Thailand, listed companies are required to submit their financial statements for the quarter ended 30 September 2011 within 45 days after the end of accounting period or within 14 November 2011. Beginning early October and continuing to present there have been flooding around central provinces including Bangkok metropolitan region. Many listed companies, being affected by flooding, have requested for late submission of financial statements. They informed that they are unable to prepare their financial statements and have them reviewed by auditors in order to timely submit financial statements to the SET. There are firms which financial information in the premises surrounded by floodwater. Some of them could not manage their staffs or auditors to prepare or review their financial statements, and some could not hold board meeting to consider their financial statements. Therefore, the SET decides to grant an extension of deadline for submission of financial statements as requested. There will not be SP (Suspension) signs posted on the securities of the following listed companies due to late submission of financial statements. 1. 69 listed companies are allowed to submit their financial statements by 30 November 2011. 2. 5 listed companies are allowed to submit their financial statements by 15 December 2011. In addition, 7 listed companies, which securities being posted 'SP' signs, do not submit their financial statements in time. They are subject to other reasons such as possible delisting due to submission of financial statements beyond the 180-day deadline, or, submission of financial statements with auditor's adverse opinion. Nevertheless, the above companies which are allowed to delay their disclosure have to submit their financial statements at once if they could complete the procedure before the extended deadline, so that the investors obtain their financial information sooner.
