WORK 002/2007 February 27, 2007 Re : Clarification of the operating result for the year ended December 31, 2006 To : President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Workpoint Entertainment Public Company Limited ("The Company") is pleased to submit herewith the consolidated and company financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2006. The operating results compared to the year ended December 31, 2005 are as follows: The operating performance of the company and its subsidiaries for the year ended December 31, 2006 showed the net profit of 304.88 Million Baht which increased by 2.50 Million Baht when compared to 302.38 Million Baht of the year ended December 31, 2005, or increased by 0.83%. The main reasons of such increase are as follow: Revenue For the total revenues of 2006 were 1,327.63 Million Baht that were generated from four types of business which were Television Business of 1,184.56 Million Baht, Publishing Business of 34.73 Million Baht, Animation and Computer Graphic Business of 34.73 Million Baht, and Motion Picture Business of 67.07 Million Baht. The proportion of each business type's revenue to total revenue was 89%, 3%, 2% and 5%, respectively. The total revenues were increased by 17.2 % from the same period of year 2005 which were 1,132 Million Baht. The performance summary of each business is as following: Television Business The revenue from Television Business of year 2006 was 1,184.56 Million Baht which was increased by 10.37% from the same period of last year which was 1,073.29 Million Baht. The increase of revenue was from two additional programs: World Cup Mania, and One night Genius. Publishing Business The revenue from Publishing Business of year 2006 was 34.73 Million Baht which was increased by 3.98% from the same period of year 2005 which was 33.4 Million Baht. The increase of revenue was from the new monthly magazine, "Sarn Katoon", which was introduced in the beginning of year 2006 and 12 new pocket books. Animation and Computer Graphic Business The Animation and Computer Graphic business's revenue of Year 2006 was 23.07 Million Baht. It was dramatically increased by 106.54% from the same period of last year which was 11.6 Million Baht. The increase of revenue was from the increased of Computer Graphic Production fee from many movies, and the additional production fee from Advertising Agency for creating TV Commercial advertisements. Motion Picture Business The company invested in the Motion Business at the end of the year 2005, the revenue was 67.07 Million Baht from the first movie "Nong Teng: The Golden Mountain Gangster" Cost of Productions In year 2006, the total cost of productions was 609.03 Million Baht which was increased by 25.92% from the same period of last year which was 483.68 Million Baht. The summary of cost in each business is as following: Television Business The cost of Television Business of Year 2006 was 551.3 Million Baht which was increased by 19.15% from the same period of last year which was 462.69 Million Baht. The increase of Cost was mainly from the increasing of air time rental fee. Publishing Business The cost of Publishing Business of Year 2006 was 17.35 Million Baht which was increased by 11.64% from the same period of last year which was 15.54 Million Baht. The increase of cost was from the new monthly magazine and pocket books. Animation and Computer Graphic Business The cost of Animation and Computer Graphic business of Year 2006 was 10.85 Million Baht which was increased by 99.44 % from the same period of last year which was 5.4 Million Baht. The increase of cost was the same direction as the revenue. Motion Picture Business The cost of Motion Picture Business was 29.52 Million Baht. The Selling and Administration Expense In year 2006, the selling and administration expense was 295.12 Million Baht, increased by 21.47% from the same period of last year which was 242.96 Million Baht. The growth of expense was resulted from the increase of selling expense and employee salary to serve company's business expansion. Dividend Payment The Board of Director approved the 2nd interim dividend payment for the year 2006. According to company performance's last six months of year 2006, the company has allocated dividend payment of 110 Million Baht or equal to 0.55 Baht per share. The total dividend payment of year 2006 was 230 Million Baht accounting of 75% of Net Profit or equal to 1.15 Baht per share. For the first dividend payment of year 2006, the total amount was 120 Million Baht or equal to 0.60 Baht per share.
