WORK 021/2006 November 13, 2006 Re: Clarification of the operating result for the Quarter ended September 30, 2006 To: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Workpoint Entertainment Public Company Limited ("The Company") is pleased to submit herewith the consolidated and company financial statements for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. The operating results compared to the quarter ended September 30, 2005 are as follow: The operating performance of the company and its subsidiaries for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 has show the net profit of 65.65 Million Baht, which decreased by 5.35 Million Baht of the quarter ended September 30, 2005 or decreased 7.7%. The main reasons of such decrease are as follow: Revenue For the quarter ended September 30, 2006 the company had the total revenue for the total amount of 307.54 Million Baht, which increased by 33.16 Million Baht of the quarter ended September 30, 2005 or increased 12.09%. The main reasons of three main businesses as follows; 1. TV Program production Business The revenue was 286.59 Million Baht which was increased by 10.1% from 260.30 Million Baht in quarter 3, 2005. The main reason was the increasing of total broadcasting time from 258 hours in quarter 3, 2005 to 275 hours in quarter 3, 2006. 2. Publishing Business Regarding to the introduction of our new pocket book, "Nong Deaw Todsagun Kid" and additional revenue from book production fee,the revenue was increased by 38.1% from Quarter 3, 2005 and became to 13.11 Million Baht. 3. Animation Business The revenue was 6.42 Million Baht in quarter 3, 2006 which increased by 93.37%, because the company became much well known especially movies producers and advertising production house had hires us to produce many projects. Cost of Production 1. TV Program Production Business For the quarter 3, 2006, the company had cost of production for the total amount of 142.72 million baht which increased by 23.2% from 115.79 Million Baht in quarter 3, 2005 mainly due to increasing of air time rental rate. 2. Publishing Business The cost of production has increased by 3.99 million baht or increased 50.2% from the quarter 3, 2005 which were the same direction as revenue. 3. Animation Business The cost of production increased from 1.38 million baht in quarter 3, 2005 to 1.78 million baht or equal 29% which were the same direction as revenue. Selling and Administration Expenses. For the quarter 3, 2006, the company had total selling and administration expenses for the total amount of 64.45 million baht which increased by 12.26%. The selling and administration expenses: total revenue was at 20.96% which close to the same proportion as Quarter 3, 2005 where the selling and administration expenses: total revenue was 20.92%.
