Ref. WORK 015 / 2005 August 15, 2005 Re : Clarification of the financial performance for 2nd quarter of fiscal year 2005 ended June 30,2005. To : President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Workpoint Entertainment Public Company Limited ("the company") are pleased to submit herewith the Consolidated and Company Financial Statement for the 2nd Quarter of Fiscal Year 2005 ended in June 30,2005. The operating results compare to the year ended June 30, 2004 as following; The operating performance of the company and its subsidiaries for 2nd quarter of fiscal year ended June 30, 2005 had shown the net profit of THB 83.22 million. The Net Profit had been increased by THB 35.45 million comparing to THB 47.77 million in the 2nd quarter of fiscal year 2004 or 72.92% improvement. It reflects the operating potential and profitability of the company. Major reasons of such increase as shown below; Revenue In the 2nd quarter of fiscal year 2005 the company had total revenue in total amount of THB 299.57 million, which increased by THB 66.89 million comparing to THB 232.68 million from total revenue in the same period of last year or increased in 28.33%. The source of revenue came from: 1.TV Program production business generated total revenue in the amount of THB 284.80 million or increasing by THB 56.22 million comparing to the same quarter in the previous year, which had the total revenue in the amount of THB 228.58 million, or 24.59% improvement. The increase of the total revenue came from better utilization rate and the increasing of broadcasting times, from 930 minutes per week in the 2nd quarter of the fiscal year 2004 to 1,205 minutes per week in the same period of 2005 or 29.57% growth. 2.Publishing Business, which is operated by a subsidiary company, Workpoint Publishing Company Limited, generated total revenue in the amount of THB 8.73 million in the 2nd quarter of the fiscal year 2005 comparing to THB 3.89 million from the 2nd quarter for the fiscal year 2004 or 124.42% growth. 3. 3D Animation Business, which is operated by another subsidiary company, Ittirit House Company Limited, generated total revenue in the amount of THB 2.87 million. This company was established in the 1st quarter 2005. Cost and Expenses Due to the fact that the broadcasting time had been increased and the new business had been launched from subsidiary companies, the total production cost and expenses for the 2nd quarter of fiscal year 2005 amounted to THB 188.32 million compare to the same period of the previous year of THB 160.77 million or 17.14% increasing. Within the total cost and expenses, the company able to control cost of TV Program production very well. The TV program production cost in the 2nd quarter 2005 amounted to THB 114.58 million compared to THB 125.7 million in the same period of last year or 6.83% lower. Please be informed accordingly.
