WORK 016/2006 August 10, 2006 Re: Clarification of the operating result for the Quarter ended June 30, 2006 To: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Workpoint Entertainment Public Company Limited (The Company) is pleased to submit herewith the consolidated and company financial statements for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. The operating results compared to the quarter ended June 30, 2005 are as follow: The operating performance of the company and its subsidiaries for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 has show the net profit of 83.48 Million Baht, which increased by 0.267 Million Baht of the quarter ended June 30, 2005 or increased 0.32%. The main reasons of such increase are as follow: Revenue For the quarter ended June 30, 2006 the company had the total revenue for the total amount of 345.85 Million Baht from four main business which were TV Program production for 289.91 Million Baht, Publishing 5.53 Million Baht, Animation 10.02 Million Baht and movie 32.8 Million Baht, which increased 15.45% when compared to the 299.57 Million Baht of the quarter ended June 30, 2006. The main reasons of such increased are as follow: 1. TV Program production Business The revenue was 289.91 Million Baht which was increased slightly by 1.8% from 284.79 Million Baht in quarter 2, 2005. The main reason was short of broadcasting our programs during the live broadcast the sixtieth Anniversary Celebration of His Majestys Accession to the Throne. 2. Publishing Business Regarding to focus more of improving the pocket book quality that made the company introduces fewer pocket books than last year, the revenue was decreased by 36.57% from Quarter 2, 2005 and became to 5.57 Million Baht. 3. Animation Business The revenue was 10.02 Million Baht in quarter 2, 2006 which increased by 248.59%, because the company became much well known especially movies producers and advertising production house had hires us to produce many projects. 4. Movie Business The revenue was 32.84 million baht in quarter 2, 2006 for the first move Nong Teng Golden Mountain Gangster. Cost of Production 1. TV Program Production Business For the quarter 2, 2006, the company had cost of production for the total amount of 128.75 million baht which increased by 12% from 114.97 Million Baht in quarter 2, 2006 mainly due to increasing of air time rental rate. 2. Publishing Business The cost of production has decreased by 1.5 million baht or decreased 34.6% from the quarter 2, 2005 which were the same direction as revenue. 3. Animation Business The cost of production increased 3.28 million baht or equal 239.2% which were the same direction as revenue. 4. Selling and Administration Expenses. For the quarter 2, 2006, the company had total selling and administration expenses for the total amount of 79.18 million baht which increased by 17.09%. The selling and administration expenses: total revenue was at 22.89% which close to the same proportion as Quarter 2, 2005 where the selling and administration expenses: total revenue was 22.57%.
